A bit about me! Hello, thanks for looking at my website. My name is Katie Cummins. I am a '70s baby and a Guernsey-girl born and bred. I live in Round Chimney with my fiancé Ben and naughty cat, Smokey.
I set-up Round Chimney Pottery in 2009, decorating
jugs, plates, mugs, bowls, heart hangers etc, and making the occasional quirky sculpture from clay! I make all my pottery at home and fire it in my little hobby kiln in my tiny workshop, also known as "The Box"!
I also run clay and glazing workshops for children and adults at The Gallery in Mansell Street.
With every piece I make, I hope that it will be a joy to use; to eat your toast from the plate that has your child's Hand Print on it; to share afternoon tea with pals using a colourful Cake Plate; to drink hot chocolate from the Mug with your name on it......your mug!
It may only be pottery, but it is little details, simple pleasures and human rituals that brighten up even the most ordinary days.
